Sphinx Above Stylised Structure – Dream Stele Detail (Lepsius) 

Detail from Lepsius’ 19th-century recording of the Dream Stele of Thutmose IV, showing the Great Sphinx positioned above a stylised, temple-like structure with a doorway beneath. Such schematic representations have contributed to speculation about chambers under the Sphinx, although modern archaeological investigations have not confirmed the existence of large hidden rooms.
